Vedant J Maheshwari was born in Mumbai in 2006 and grew up between London and India, spending every summer with his grandparents who shaped many of his early values.
He is currently at the University of Chicago, studying Economics and Cognitive Science, with additional work in computer science and AI. Alongside academics, he has trained in martial arts for nearly a decade, beginning with Kung Fu at age 11 and later adding kickboxing and boxing. He has also volunteered as an assistant instructor, teaching children on weekends.
Outside work and academics, Vedant is deeply interested in discipline, meditation, strength training, long-term thinking, and the philosophy of self-mastery. Some of his most memorable trips include an 8-day trek to Machu Picchu, living in the Amazon Rainforest, crossing the deserts of Namibia, and witnessing the Aurora Borealis.
He lives by the principle “Vincit qui se vincit” – he who conquers himself, conquers.
