Having recently attended the ‘Web Summit’ in Lisbon, the world’s largest annual tech event, I have had many questions regarding the intersection between gender and technology.

I firmly believe that technology will act as an enhancer; Whether for existing inequality, or the enhancement of equality.

I wonder how artificial intelligence will adopt existing schemas and biases in society, and if this will lead to gender inequality being perpetuated further. Is there a way to prevent this? This is something I hope to be able to work towards researching and solving in the future.
